Maple Syrup is one of the first, and definitely the tastiest signs of spring. Children all over Canada visit Sugar Bushes on school trips and get to try not just the syrup but the taffy as well. One of my favorite memories is the taffy pour over snow and then wrapped around a Popsicle stick. Living in Halton we are very lucky to have several sugar bushes within a short drive. Spend a day, enjoy being outside, and visit one of these festivals either with a loved one, friends, or family.
